 Tina Sotto (Scriptor)
Hi,
My name is Tina and I am from the Philippines. I joined the JOSS board last year and this year I
will be taking care of putting together the JOSS newsletter. If you want to write a short feature
about your country, or your experiences here in Belgium, or perhaps some interesting statistical
jokes, or anything that you might want to share with other students, please feel free to do so.
Contributions to the newsletter are always welcome.
I studied Statistics at the Bachelor and Master level in my country and came to Belgium in 2003. I
completed the M.S. Applied Statistics program in 2004 and the M.S. Biostatistics program the year
after that. I am currently doing my PhD here at UHasselt, working in the area of missing data.
As to my hobbies, if you could call eating a hobby, then that would probably be mine.
