 Philippe Haldermans (President)
Yow,
My name is Philippe Haldermans and I'm currently 23 years on this planet. I was raised in a beautiful
town called Maasmechelen, near the Dutch border, but moved to Hasselt to be closer to our lovely
university.
After 4 years of hard work at both the University of Hasselt and the University of Maastricht, my
efforts were rewarded with a degree in Computer Sciences. Now I stand for an even bigger challenge:
sharing my wisdom with the local Belgian youth as a teacher's assistant. In the spare moments between
classes I also work on my Ph.D. in bio-informatics. To upgrade my statistical skills, I will follow
some courses in the Biostatistics program, so it's possible you see me somewhere on the last row
of the class.
My hobbies, besides working at Hasselt University (ahum), are: beer (favorites: Duvel, Leffe and
Chimay Blue), soccer (other sports are possible too), movies and drinking beer while watching soccer
movies.
